About East China Normal University
Founded in 1951, East China Normal University (ECNU) is the first normal university in PRC history. ECNU now consists of one faculty: Faculty of Earth Science. The University has 21 colleges and 56 departments, and an academy of classical learning: Meng Xiancheng Shuyuan, 38 graduate programs, and 26 doctoral programs. 19 professional master's programs and 23 post-doctoral mobile research stations. In August 2014, there were 14,387 undergraduates, 15,085 postgraduates and 3,166 doctoral candidates. There were also on campus more than 5,000 international students from over 80 countries.
